I love this! The cage is so claustrophobic. Despite the contentedness of the mice I see a critique of modern education (think No Child Left Behind), where teaching to the test replaces experiental learning (the maze). Lord only knows that kids need to run around and learn with their hands as well as their minds and their pencils. I still do! It makes me an unhappy mouse. I am sure there are many other ways to see this, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ha! I would be the lazy rat that's glad to be done with the running around, but not nerdy enough to admit it.
